You’ve now reached the part of my site where I get to brag a bit. Below you’ll find information about my professional and freelance career. Hopefully you’ll see that I have an extensive background in digital media that is now extending into emerging digital media avenues such as mobile and video (the two go hand in hand if you ask me, mobile video will dramatically change consumer media consumption).

I manage a team of online media specialists. At SMG Directory Marketing we specialize in local online advertising such as Search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimization and Internet Yellow Pages. We take a holistic approach to online directional marketing with an emphasis on accountability of advertising. I have recently begun to develop mobile campaigns for clients while building the overall mobile competency for the company. Other emerging media projects include video production and distribution for social media & SEO purposes.
Freelance Artist
A very long time
In my free time I do some freelance design work. This is a bit vague as I do a little bit of everything from website design and SEO to occasional graphic design and traditional artwork including portrait drawing. I have been designing websites since I was in high school and am always growing my knowledge in that area. This knowledge of web design also led me to my search engine optimization expertise as I feel that good design is about usability and findability. If I build a site that is user friendly, inevitably the search engines will find the site as well. Lastly I have groomed a love of film into a very strong hobby that has occasionally led to work as well.

All of the work in this portfolio was done during a short stint with the Quad City Mallards, a minor league hockey team. The work was used for program covers, team schedule refrigerator magnets, and posters.

This page has a hodge-podge of videos that I’ve done over the last five years. There is an obvious sports theme (stuff I did in college and for my little brother & sister) with a couple of complete randoms I put together for friends to enjoy. The Chicago Winter Blues is highlighted on this site.
Small Website Project: Augie Football
This site was created at the request of my college football coach. The site has a content management system that allows for quick content addition and editing by any number of people. Several elements of the site have not been built out due to a few undisclosed snags.
